Mygrants celebrate 65 years
Mr. and Mrs. Keith "Pete" Mygrant, 2212 Co. Rd. 308, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary recently with a family gathering at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Randee and Chuck Becker, Rome, Ohio.
Mr. Mygrant and the former Olive Rose Taylor were married Oct. 1, 1944, in the Ballville, Ohio, home of the bride's parents.
They are parents of eight children, Randee (Chuck) Becker, Gail (Frank) Veith, Jim (Marla) Mygrant, Tom (Pam) Mygrant, Ken (Dee) Mygrant, Beverly (Dick) Holmes, Jeff (Cindy) Mygrant and Robin Mygrant. They also have 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Members of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Flat Rock, since 1954, the couple renewed their wedding vows in October 1960 with their eldest seven children as witnesses and honeymooned for the first time with a trip through the south and a visit with her parents in Florida.
Mr. Mygrant is a retired carpenter. Mrs. Mygrant is a homemaker and had been employed as a waitress.
The couple now spend their time between their homes in Bellevue and Inverness, Fla.
